“I tested a straight size C with the collar and cuffs and ruffle hem. I made it in a linen which worked beautifully with the pattern.
The collar sits beautifully flat and I love the shape of it! The long sleeves are great, although I will probably add another half an inch of length next time. But this is something I do in a lot of long sleeve patterns, so I think it is personal preference.
Such a beautiful extension to the original pattern – I love it!”

“I love love Peter Pan collars because growing up, my mom used to make tops and dresses for me with them! This top sews up easily, and I love it that it fits so well on me. I added 1” to the length as I wear my height more on my torso. Adjustment is easy with the shorten/lengthen line. Very stylish top to have in the wardrobe!”
“This is shirting cotton, I like it a lot but it’s not the easiest to press. I made a size A graded to B at the waist and hips”

“I always love sewing french navy now patterns. They’re truly timeless pieces with a nice attention to little details. They always go together perfectly and look beautiful inside as well as out.“

“Fit photos of my top size F. I am planning to wear this as a jacket/layering piece so also showing it open. I think the French seams lends itself to this option. Fabric is a fine wool. I upcycled a skirt.”

“I tested both the long sleeves and collar and all went well except I used a vintage liberty lawn and the print is so intense you can’t see the lovely details of the collar well at all! I should have used a solid rather than a print. Anyway, I love the finished top though. I really liked the tips that are included in the pattern, you reallly feel as though you are in good hands as you embark on your vétiver adventure. Kudos to Sarah for another great pattern. It was such a fun sewing experience!“
Fit is good. My collar doesn’t lie flat mainly due to interfacing. Fabric is Liberty Lawn from Minerva
